Garden of the Six Principles of Poetry

Rikugi-en (六義園) is a park in Bunkyō, Tokyo named after the Six Principles of Poetry. The poet-monk Shinkei's 'six principles' are: Allegorical Mode, Direct Mode, Panegyrical Mode, Mode of Precise Delineation, Metaphorical Mode, and Symbolic Mode.
